November Meet Has a Location

The November 18 – 19 quiz meet has a home! It will be at West Meadows Baptist at 9333 – 199 St, Edmonton. 199 is one block west of and parallel to Anthony Henday, just north of 87 Ave. With significant construction in that area, we will give recommended directions closer to the meet.

Thanks to everyone for praying for a solution to our facilities needs.

Coaches — if you visit the QuizHelper website, you can sign up for an annual membership to get practice questions and reference materials like concordances and key word lists. One membership per church is all you need.

Internationals 2011 – Track the Stats

biblequizstats.org/internationals is now live and “focuses on providing information regarding team and individual performances at Internationals so that friends and family can follow at home and results can be calculated quickly onsite. Data is entered into the system as soon as scoresheets are turned into the stats room and uploaded via wireless to the server, so the information posted here is as timely as possible.”

Use the site to keep track of the Western Canada team all week and get a glimpse of how to pray for them.

International Team — Facebook Takeover

Our 2011 Western Canada international team has arrived in the U.S. safely, and is spending some time today sight-seeing in Baltimore before the competition begins.

This year, the team has been given (temporary) control of the Alberta C&MA Bible Quizzing page on Facebook. Breanna and others have been posting a ton of photos, some status updates and one blog-style update…

Currently we are sitting in our hotel rooms waiting for the “Pizza Dude” to deliver our midnight snacks. Our long day of traveling was successful and West Can. is now safe in Baltimore, Maryland. That’s right; we have landed on US soil, which is extremely exciting for first time visitors: Doris, Ben, and Luke. Read the Rest

Another district finals has come-and-gone and the memories and sleep-deprivation are still fresh. Adrienna and Judy have been kind enough already to send in a few hundred images for you to peruse in our image gallery.
